Youth Theatre Troupe

Does your child dream of being on the stage? Their name up in lights? Young theatre-lovers are invited to join our Youth Theatre Troupe at Griffith Regional Theatre. These 8-week blocks of after-school drama classes help students develop and improve confidence on and off the stage in a fun and supportive environment.

Primary years 1-3

Calling all young thespians in years 1 to 3 - we want you for our Primary School Youth Theatre Troupe!
These 8-week blocks of after-school drama classes are available for junior students in years 1 to 3 on Monday afternoons. Students will learn a range of drama and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Primary years 4-6

Calling all young thespians in years 4 to 6 - we want you for our Primary School Youth Theatre Troupe!
These 8-week blocks of after-school drama classes are available for junior students in years 4 to 6 on Tuesday afternoons. Students will learn a range of drama and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.

High school students

Calling all young thespians in years 7 to 12 - we want you for our High School Youth Theatre Troupe!
These 8-week blocks of after-school drama classes are available on Monday evenings for senior students who attend High School.
Students will learn performance techniques for stage, develop their own voice and delve into storytelling for stage beyond.

Meet Youth Troupe Leader, Katherine Sharpe

Theatre Youth Troupe Leader Katherine Sharpe is an experienced Drama Teacher with a strong commitment to fostering creative expression in young people through fun, practical and inclusive learning experiences. Katherine has been involved in several productions including as the Director of the 2023 Community Musical – The Wedding Singer, Murrumbidgee Regional High School’s 2021 production of Cinderella, and has been Director & Assistant Director for several plays produced by GRAPA. She has also been involved with the Department of Education’s productions of KROP and Riverina Dance Festival.
