We’re committed to providing enriching educational experiences for students and educators to engage with the performing arts. Our chosen theme for next year is ‘Out of the Box’ which aims to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.

Student ticket prices are $16 with one complimentary teacher ticket per 20 students (for designated school shows only).
If that allocation does not allow you to adequately supervise your students please speak to us as we are flexible when it comes to getting student participation. Please contact the Box Office on 02 6962 8444 or theatre@griffith.nsw.gov.au for more information.
We also have some general public shows (evening shows) listed as part of our education program, but these shows do not have a designated school performance. We’re offering high school students a special ticket price of $16 to these specified evening shows.

The Dino Maniacs Baby Dinosaurs Show
Friday 20 March 10am & 12:30pm
Suitable For: Foundation/Early & Stage 1-2
Duration: 45 minutes + Q&A
Bring your students to meet Trixi the Triceratops, cheeky Tru Blu, mischievous Naughty Joffrey, Aussie favourites Ozzi & Oi!, and our newest star, Olive the Parasaurolophus!
Hosted by the incredible Shaun and Tara, The Dino Maniacs is a high-energy, award-winning interactive show packed with fun, laughter, and dino-tastic surprises.
Enjoy lifelike baby dinosaurs, sing-and-dance-along tunes, hands-on interactive fun, and photo ops with your favourite prehistoric pals!
Perfect for kids aged 1–8 (and kids at heart!), this roarsome event will have everyone dancing, laughing, and learning.
Winners of two national What’s On 4 Kids Awards in 2024, The Dino Maniacs bring unforgettable, high-energy dinosaur fun to children and families across Australia.
Please note: this footage was taken at another venue, there will still be audience participation, but the show will take place in the auditorium, the children will be seated as per usual.
SPLISH SPLASH SCIENCE! by That Science Gang

Roll up! Roll up! It’s the splishiest, splashiest show on Earth!
From the multi-award-winning creators of The Alphabet of Awesome Science and You Are a Doughnut comes a wet and wild science circus where the star of the show is (drum roll please...) — WATER!
Join ringmaster Rip Tide as he expertly explores and experiments with the exciting properties of this exceptional chemical. You’ll be confounded and astounded while experiencing thrills and (actual!) spills in equal measure — as water squirts, spurts and sprays in every conceivable direction!
Plus, Rip is going to need to recruit a few more stars to join him on stage! Will you be brave enough to step into the “SPLASH ZONE”?
Show Warning: Loud noises, Flashing Lights, Haze, Audience members who volunteer to take part in the show will be splashed with a little water.

The Box Show by Junkyard Beats

In the hands of Junkyard Beats, everyday objects are transformed into incredible musical instruments, and discarded junk springs to life in surprising and imaginative ways!
Follow four playful characters as they go about their day in a world built entirely from cardboard boxes and forgotten treasures. The contents of an abandoned kitchen and a few wheelie bins become the ultimate drum kit, plastic bags turn into musical instruments, and the human body becomes a rhythm machine.
Join this inventive crew of musical misfits as they breathe new life into the junk the world has thrown away.
Packed with energy, creativity, and laughter, this show blends drumming, dance, theatre, and comedy to inspire audiences and celebrate sustainability. With a language of gibberish and rhythm, Junkyard Beats deliver an experience for all ages!
Room on the Broom

Duration: 55 minutes
How the cat purred and how the witch grinned, as they sat on their broomstick and flew through the wind…
The witch and her cat are flying happily on their broomstick – until a stormy wind blows away the witch’s hat, bow and wand.
A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch’s lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and – CRACK – the broom snaps in two!
When a hungry dragon appears, who will save the poor witch? And will there ever be room on the broom for everyone?
The award-winning team behind The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child return with songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged 3 and up, and their grown-ups.
The Farmy Farm
Friday 25 September 10am & 12:30pm
Suitable For: Foundation/Early & Stage 1-3
Duration: 50 minutes
Set in their favourite part of Australia, Legend Farms, join Kenny & Jenny for a day in the life of getting their jobs done with a tractor-load of circus and farming tomfoolery. It's "The Castle" meets "Babe" with jaw-dropping acrobatics on tall towers of hay, giant juggling carrots, fair dinkum high flying farmers and loads of laughs for everyone!
Created by the team that brought you Children Are Stinky in collaboration with Stunned Mullet Circus, this show has award-winning roots. Performed by Josie Wardrope (By A Thread) and Sam Aldham (Circus Oz), you can expect big tricks and even bigger laughs. With jaw-dropping acrobatics, highflying carrots, 3-meter balancing bales of hay, and so much more.
It’s all in a day's work for our dead set legends and all round larrikins Kenny & Jenny - they’ve been doing this for years, still, you never know if they might need you to lend a hand!

School Booking Terms and Conditions
- One complimentary (1) ticket for every twenty (20) students is provided for accompanying teachers for shows during school hours. If that allocation does not allow you to adequately supervise your students please speak directly with box office staff. Additional teacher tickets can be purchased at student price. For evening performances, one (1) teacher per twenty (20) students can purchase a ticket at the student price of $16. Other teachers will be invoiced at full ticket price. (Note: Advance purchase price per person available up to 2 weeks prior to performance).
- Please email the completed form to theatre@griffith.nsw.gov.au
On receipt of this booking form the theatre will send notification that your booking has been registered and will send an invoice.
- Seating will be allocated in order of receipt of this booking form. While all attempts will be made to seat your group together some separation may be required. If you have any special seating requirements (wheelchair access, no stairs, access to hearing loop) please speak directly with box office staff.
- Thanks to support from our Education Program Sponsor – M&M Careri - Rosewood Park on Stokes, we are offering a small subsidy to schools outside of the Griffith LGA to assist offset the transport costs to attend each of these schools shows. This will be provided as a discount on the ticket price per student. Please see the following box for subsidies.

Subsidies for schools outside of Griffith LGA – 2026
- For Schools within 50 km of Griffith (but outside Griffith LGA only): $1.00 per student
- For schools between 50 – 150km from Griffith: $2.00 per student
- For schools 150km + from Griffith: $3.00 per student.
(Calculations of distance in kilometres are taken from Google Maps – for clarification of the distance of your school, please contact the Box Office)
Subsidies will be calculated by Griffith Regional Theatre and applied to the invoice that is sent to the school. Note: Subsidy not applied to teacher tickets.
- Thank you for your interest in participating in Griffith Regional Theatre's Education Program. Following receipt of your booking form, an invoice will be issued, based on the numbers provided. Please process this invoice as soon as possible to confirm your booking. As there is a high demand for our education programs, often exceeding available seating, we require final numbers and payment two months prior to the show date. Any changes in student numbers must be finalised before this date, and a new invoice will be issued. Additional seats requested, will be subject to availability.
If payment is not received by the due date, we will contact you to confirm details and arrange immediate payment. Failure to complete payment at this time may risk a booking being cancelled, particularly if the show is heavily subscribed. Where a booking is received within two months of the show, payment must be made within 7 days of booking. For bookings made within seven days of the performance, payment must be made at the time of booking. Thank you for your understanding.
