Community Exhibition: Roots & Reflections

Griffith Regional Art Gallery (GRAG) would like to invite local artists to contribute artworks to the 2026 community exhibition Roots and Reflections. There are many ways artists can work within the unfixed confines of the theme, and we encourage artists to interpret the exhibition name through their own art practice.

There will be two sections artists can enter work into this exhibition. Artists are able to enter a work in one or both sections.

 

SECTION 1: This entry is open to 2D and 3D art practices including; painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, textiles, sculpture, digital or time-based works. Featured in the front gallery, artists are limited to a one artwork entry in this part of the exhibition and works can be for sale at the artist’s choice of pricing. SECTION 2: Upon entering, artists will be provided with a canvas of a uniform size by the Gallery. Artists will be limited to one artwork and may use a variety of mediums, but the canvas must remain this size. This section of the exhibition will be displayed in the back gallery and all works will be for sale in this section at a set price of $85, with a set return for the artist of $59.50. Each artwork will go unlabeled, with the artist only being disclosed to the purchaser upon close of the exhibition. On display from 11am Saturday 28 March, closes Sunday 3 May 2pm.

 

Gallery Hours

The Gallery is open Wednesday - Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday & Sunday from 11am - 2pm.
