The Griffith Regional Theatre and Art Gallery will be closed Monday, 5 October 2026 for the Labour Day public holiday and will re-open on Tuesday 6 October 2026.Griffith Pioneer Park Museum will be open -10am to 3pm
Roy Rathbone was one of the original founding volunteers of Griffith Pioneer Park Museum. His family were from St. Germain in Victoria and the cottage was originally built in 1868. Unfortunately, the cottage you see today is not the original structure as Rathbone Cottage was burnt by vandals soon after it arrived at Pioneer Park in 1972. The Cottage was re-constructed using another similar cottage originally built in the 1880s at Gunbar.
